| We operate
Dornier 228 aircraft in our fleet. The Dornier
228 (Do228) holds an exceptional reputation
for reliability, versatility, economy and
ruggedness. Its performance makes it ideal
not only for carrying passengers, but also
for cargo.
Developed
in the 1980’s in Germany, it is a
tough STOL aircraft used both for passenger
service, cargo service and other multi-purpose
jobs. New Aerodynamic profile and special
wing shape in Dornier-228 ensures improvement
of lift/ drag ratio compared to conventional
wing design and has reduced induced drag,
lower structural weight and high structural
strength. These improvements results in
excellent take off, climb, cruise and landing
characteristics.
The aircraft is branded for
its excellent reliability, versatility and
ruggedness. With a carrying capacity of
18 passengers powered by two Honeywell turboprop
engines TPE331-5-252D, it is the ideal aircraft
for serving both the STOL and non-STOL airfields
of mountainous Nepal.
The cabin is designed rectangular
in order to provide additional space for
head and shoulder which simply means more
comfort during passenger travel.
Due to its versatility, today
DO228 are operated in a wide variety of
roles including Commuter, Air Taxi, Utility,
Corporate, Aircrew Training, Maritime Surveillance,
Search & Rescue and for Observation
& Communication duties.
The large cargo door (4’2”X4’5”)
with a long cabin makes it specious aircraft
makes it an excellent aircraft for lifting
cargo.
Safety is our core directive
and accordingly, our Dornier 228's avionics
are fully equipped for IFR operation. The
extra avionics equipments like color Weather
Radar, Radar Altimeter, Global Positioning
System (GPS) etc makes our aircraft very
safe in the mountainous terrain of Nepal.
Piloted by well trained and highly experienced
pilots, we assure you safe and enjoyable
flight every time you board in our fleet.
